FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITY
A QA/QC Engineer is responsible for analyzing and qualifying an organization’s product to ensure it meets quality and manufacturing standards. The engineer will typically work with other engineering teams to identify potential errors in the process or standard and design improvements that could create a more efficient and effective production line.
A quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) engineer is responsible for ensuring that the products and services provided by a company meet the required standards.
They develop and implement quality assurance plans, test products and services to ensure they meet the required standards, and report their findings to management. QA/QC engineers typically have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. They must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience with quality assurance methods and tools.
To succeed in this role, you will need strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. You must also be able to work effectively within a team environment.
1. Following are some of the most important duties and responsibilities of a QA/QC engineer in the construction industry.
2. Accountable for the quality and quality of every activity, precise knowledge of all aspects of engineering construction relating to Civil, Architectural, and Structural discipline interfacing the multidisciplinary processes.
3. Responsible for QA/QC documents of the complete project, including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered, and other important QA/QC documents.
4. Develop and determine all standards to perform inspections and tests on all procedures, oversee all testing methods, and maintain high-quality standards for all processes.
5. Review the quality of all materials at the site, ensure compliance with all project specifications and quality, and collaborate with the department for all material procurement and quality materials.
6. Supervise the effective implementation of all test and inspection schedules, ensure adherence to all procedures, and coordinate with various teams to perform quality audits on processes.
7. Assist employees in ensuring knowledge of all quality standards, ensure compliance with all quality manuals and procedures, and collaborate with contractors and suppliers to maintain the quality of all systems.
8. Manage to lift all equipment, handle the efficient storage of all hazardous materials, and perform quality audits per the required schedule.
9. Monitor an efficient system, record all project activities, and analyze all processes to ensure all work meets quality requirements.
10. Manage all work methods, maintain knowledge of quality assurance standards, monitor continuous application for all quality assurance processes, and recommend corrective actions for all operations.
11. Develop a method statement for the activity, including risk assessment, job safety environmental analysis, and Inspection
12. Test Plan and Checklist based on project specifications.
13. Liaise with the Technical Engineer for submission of material submittals to the Consultant
14. Coordinate with the Consultant’s representative and Site In-charge for Inspection.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. Well experienced in furniture manufacturing knows QC parameters, must have skills in material checking i.e. Wood, MDF, finishing materials.
2. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent and a minimum of 3-5 years experience in QA/QC for Joinery Production & Fit-out Projects.
3. Computer literate in MS Word and Excel and working experience with Auto-cad and Primavera.
4. Must be well versed in applicable International Codes, Standards and Specifications of construction and maintenance/refurbishment.
5. Demonstrated leadership and coordination skills, dynamic, independent and ability to work under pressure.
6. Adherence to working instructions and procedures in accordance with the company’s Integrated Management System Policy. ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions are normal for an office / factory / projects site environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to AED10,000.00 per month
