Job Description: Quality Control Inspector-PT6 Engine Overhaul & Airframe Inspector

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all PT6A series engine overhauls and airframe inspections meet FAA regulations, OEM specifications and company quality standards. This role is critical to maintaining airworthiness, safety, and regulatory compliance. This position is a DOT Drug & Alcohol compliance position.
Duties
- Perform in-process and final inspection of PT6 engine overhauls
- Inspect engine components for wear, damage and proper assembly
- Conduct detailed airframe inspections (scheduled and unscheduled)
- Inspect structural components, systems, and installations for airworthiness
- Identify discrepancies and ensure corrective actions are completed
- Verify compliance with FAA regulations (Part 145 / Part 43 as applicable)
- Review and approve maintenance release documentation
- Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits (FAA, customers)
- Review work orders, logbooks, and maintenance records for accuracy
- Ensure traceability of parts and materials
- Maintain accurate inspection records, reports and discrepancy logs
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the quality system
- Other duties as assigned
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License and Inspector Authorization (IA) required
- 4+ years technical experience in turbine engine maintenance of PT6A Series engines
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and maintenance practices
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and decision-making skills
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
