Quality Engineer

About the Role


Monitor and Test Products/Processes: Regularly inspecting and testing products, and manufacturing processes to identify defects or deviations from standards.


Responsibilities



  • Create Documentation: Preparing reports, documenting quality activities, and maintaining records of quality control processes.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Working closely with engineering, production, and other teams to ensure quality is integrated into all aspects of the product lifecycle.
  • Contribute to Quality Improvement: Identifying areas for quality improvement and participating in initiatives to enhance overall quality performance.



Required Skills:


  • 1-2 years of experience in quality preferred industries (FMCG, Flexible packaging, Non-woven, Textile, tissue, detergent).
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of quality control principles, manufacturing processes, and relevant industry standards.
  • Inspect raw materials, in-process production, and final products to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Prepare and update quality documentation, including test reports, inspection records, and audit results.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for defects and work with production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Support internal and external audits, including ISO, customer audits, and compliance inspections.
  • Calibrate and maintain quality testing equipment in coordination with the lab team.
  • Train production staff on quality standards and defect prevention methods.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for QA-related processes.
  • Familiarity with quality tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Analysis).
  • Collaborate with R&D, production, and maintenance departments to support product development and process improvements.
  • Familiarity with SAP and QM.
  • Familiarity with GMP requirements.
  • Good command of Microsoft Office.
