Your Role:

  • In-depth knowledge about the Steam Turbine Casing Fabrication manufacturing process and quality requirements

  • In depth understanding of Fabrication drawings

  • Monitor daily inspection activities and NDT Level II in UT/PT/MT/VT as per ASNT/ISO 9712

  • Hands on experience in usage of UT of welded structure and able to identify the weld defects.

  • Carry out inspection of weld quality - Visual and NDT of Weld Joints.

  • Should be able to do Dimensional Fit up inspections and Final inspection of welded structures. Should able to correlate with subsequent manufacturing process of Machining/Assembly.

  • Hands on experience of Usage of Leica Laser Tracker or any other equivalent machine.

  • Previous experience of inspection of Nuclear Projects (Fabricated Structure) will be added advantage.

  • Raise flag for any non-conformance/process deviations

  • Hands on experience on QM Module of SAP

  • Sound knowledge of all machining processes and usage of precision measurement instruments like Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gagues etc..

  • Well convergent with manufacturing process like Machining, Assembly and Fabrication of Steam Turbine Components

  • Create awareness among team to raise stop work/Quality Concern on small deviations

  • Well convergent with component and assembly drawings

  • Ready to work in all three shifts

  • Active participation in FMEA meetings and ensure all relevant risks are identified and mitigated before execution of process

  • Review and understand the quality requirements of each product and identify the special instrument requirement in advance

  • Identify productivity improvement opportunities from Inspection perspective.

  • Prepare stagewise Inspection checklist for components and assemblies

  • Raise NCR when any non-conformance is noticed.

  • Coordinate with Shift Production Engineer on daily inspection needs/priorities.

Basic Qualifications(requirements):

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • 1-4 Years of Experience

  • Well convergent with SAP/MTA/Microsoft Office tools (Advance understanding needed)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of ISO 17025

  • NDT Level II in UT/PT/MT as per ISO 9712
