We are looking for a Quality Engineer at the Yeniköy Plant Paintshop Production Department. The aim of the Paint Quality Engineer is to take actions towards Ford Otosan's purpose of becoming Turkey's most valuable and most preferred brand, and manage the body quality processes that will ensure that customers who prefer Otosan products are also satisfied with the quality of the product

We are looking for a dynamic team member who is open to development, eager to learn, and ready to take responsibility for Paint Quality processes. The ideal candidate will work intensively on-site with production teams to solve quality issues and contribute to vehicle quality improvement processes.

Responsibilities

Work 100% on-site with production teams to ensure the operational excellence of paint production teams.

Developing an effective approach to problem-solving with an engineering perspective.

Providing management and solutions for quality problems encountered in production lines.

Bringing cross-functional teams together to develop and improve quality issues, also reporting the work done.

Tracking internal and external quality data/metrics.

Collecting quality data, analysing results, and summarizing quality metrics, providing analysis and reports for daily/weekly/monthly plant indicators review meetings, and guiding production teams accordingly.

Following up on the measurement of actions’ efficiency, taking or enforcing ICA, PCA, and PRA corrective actions, monitoring their implementation on-site, evaluating their effectiveness, and reporting the results.

Identifying and following up on the rework process.

Leading root cause analysis studies with the production team for effective 8D.

Supporting the identification of root causes of internal and external (customer) issues, coordinating sorting and containment activities, following up, and reporting the action plan with the production team.

Coordinating inspections and controls in-line with related internal and external problems.

Participating in quality audits (ISO 9001, etc.) and ensuring compliance with requirements.

Auditing control points and updating control procedures in response to production problems.

Ensuring the sharing of information regarding quality issues caused by suppliers with stakeholders, implementing ICA/ERA and PCA corrective actions in collaboration with the Incoming Quality team to prevent quality issues from affecting vehicle quality, and ensuring the invoicing of losses.


Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering or a related field.

Experience: Preferably at least 3 years of experience in Paint production at the automotive industry.

Language Skills: Advanced proficiency in English both written and spoken

Technical Skills: Familiarity with quality management systems, root cause analysis, and quality control software; proficiency in MS Office, knowledge of PPA standards; and the ability.

Competencies: Strong analytical skills, effective problem-solving abilities, and a solid understanding of production and quality standards. Being effective team player to collaborate with cross functional teams. Excellent leadership, teamwork, and communication skills
