Quality Inspector

We are seeking experienced Quality Inspector who will be responsible for ensuring that all rig preparation activities meet the project’s quality standards, client specifications, and relevant industry codes. This role involves inspection, monitoring, and reporting of fabrication, assembly, and installation processes during the RIG preparation project to ensure compliance and to support delivery of a safe, reliable, and compliant drilling unit.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections and quality checks during various stages of rig preparation, including structural, piping, instrumentation, and coating activities.
• Verify compliance with project specifications, drawings, procedures, and international standards
• Monitor welding and fabrication processes, ensuring qualifications of welders and procedures are current and valid.
• Inspect equipment installation, alignment, bolt torquing, and hydro/pneumatic testing.
• Participate in Quality Audits and assist in implementing corrective/preventive actions.
• Raise and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure resolution and closure.
• Maintain accurate records of inspection findings, reports, and documentation.
• Support HSE policies and ensure safe work practices during inspections.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in related field (preferred).
• Minimum 4–5 years of experience as a Quality Inspector, preferably in rig refurbishment/preparation, oil & gas, or heavy fabrication projects. Knowledge of RIG site requirements, heavy-duty concrete design, and structural pads.
• Familiarity with international standards (API, AWS, ASME, ISO).
• Experience with inspection tools, documentation, and project quality systems.
• Strong understanding of rig systems (drilling, structural, piping).
