Quality Inspector (Electrical)

Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspection and verification of all electrical activities including installation, testing, and commissioning as per project specifications and ITPs.
  • Review and ensure compliance with approved drawings, method statements, and applicable standards (IEC, IEEE, BS, NEC).
  • Monitor site electrical works for compliance with ADNOC and company quality standards.
  • Prepare and maintain inspection reports, test records, NCRs, and punch lists.
  • Coordinate with construction and QA/QC teams for inspection requests (RFI) and ensure timely clearance.
  • Conduct inspection of electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, MCCs, lighting, earthing, and cabling systems.
  • Verify calibration certificates of instruments and ensure correct testing procedures are followed.
  • Assist in internal and external audits and support root cause analysis for quality issues.
  • Ensure all inspection and test activities are recorded, signed off, and documented properly for handover.
  • Maintain close coordination with the client (ADNOC) inspectors for inspection clearance.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • 5 - 12 years of experience in EPC / Oil & Gas / Petrochemical projects, with at least 2-3 years in ADNOC or similar projects.
  • Strong understanding of ADNOC Standards, FIDIC, and EPC project QA/QC requirements.
  • Familiar with electrical codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, BS).
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, SLDs, and layouts.
  • Certification in QA/QC or Electrical Inspection (CSWIP, BGAS, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of inspection tools, calibration, ITPs, NCR management, and documentation control.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
