Welding Inspector

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Welding Inspector with a minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in Oil and Gas projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring all welding activities comply with project specifications, codes, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect welding and fabrication activities at site/workshop.
  • Ensure compliance with approved WPS, PQR, and relevant codes (ASME, API, AWS).
  • Review welding procedures and qualification records.
  • Conduct visual inspection of welds and coordinate NDT activities.
  • Monitor fit-up, alignment, and joint preparation.
  • Prepare and maintain inspection reports and documentation.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC team and project engineers.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Welding Inspector.
  • Experience in Oil and Gas industry (mandatory).
  • Certification such as CSWIP 3.1 / AWS-CWI preferred.
  • Good knowledge of welding codes and standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong reporting and communication skills.
