Job Purpose:
Conduct and validate inspections and tests of incoming materials, parts, and accessories to ensure compliance with technical specifications, standards, and customer requirements. Support supplier evaluations by participating in quality audits and providing feedback on material performance. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing rejection trends, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective measures to enhance supplier quality and material reliability.
Key Responsibilities:

Inspect and test received transformer parts (e.g., tanks, radiators, conservators, cables, clamps, etc.) using visual checks, dimensional verification, and nondestructive testing (NDT) techniques to confirm compliance with quality standards.

Inspect and verify the quality of incoming steel sheets, pipes, and bars against technical specifications and industry standards.

Conduct dimensional inspections for tanks, enclosures, and assemblies to ensure alignment with approved design drawings.

Perform coating and paint quality tests (e.g., electrostatic test, galvanization check, liquid paint thickness test) to validate adherence to required standards.

Test the functionality and compliance of received electrical accessories and components supplied by vendors.

Participate in supplier audits and evaluation committees, providing input on quality systems, material compliance, and process effectiveness.

Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of non-conformities, rejections, and corrective actions.

Analyze inspection data to identify recurring issues and provide recommendations for improving supplier performance and material quality.

Ensure all inspection tools and equipment are calibrated and fit for use, escalating issues when calibration gaps are identified.

Collaborate with warehouse, procurement, and production teams to resolve material acceptance issues and ensure timely clearance of conforming materials.

Promote adherence to QHSE policies during all inspection and material handling activities.
Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).

1-3 years of experience in quality control or quality inspection, preferably in manufacturing (transformers, heavy industry, Steel,or related).
