Job Summary: The Interior Fit-Out Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all cost aspects of interior fit-out projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in interior fit-out works, possess strong analytical skills, and be well-versed with UAE market conditions and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for fit-out projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
  • Tendering and Procurement: Manage the tendering process, including preparing and issuing requests for quotations, analyzing bids, and recommending suitable contractors and suppliers.
  • Contract Administration: Administer contracts and manage changes, including variations and claims. Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and control project costs, providing regular reports and forecasts to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Value Engineering: Provide value engineering solutions to optimize project costs without compromising on quality.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct site inspections to verify work progress and ensure alignment with project specifications and budgets.
  • Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding cost-related matters, addressing any queries or concerns.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions, correspondence, and contract documents.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., MRICS) is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, specifically within the interior fit-out sector, in the UAE.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of UAE construction and fit-out standards, regulations, and market conditions.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
