Quantity Surveyor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation & Budgeting
  • Prepare cost plans, estimates, and budgets for construction projects.
  • Analyze project drawings and specifications to forecast project costs.
  • Tendering & Procurement
  • Prepare tender documentation and manage the tendering process.
  • Evaluate contractor and subcontractor bids.
  • Contract Management
  • Prepare, negotiate, and administer contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Project Financial Management
  • Monitor and control project costs to stay within budget.
  • Track variations, change orders, and cost implications.
  • Produce regular financial reports, including cash flow forecasts.
  • Valuation & Payments
  • Conduct on-site measurements and valuations.
  • Prepare interim valuations and final accounts.
  • Certify payments to contractors and subcontractors.
  • Risk & Value Management
  • Identify, assess, and manage commercial risks.
  • Recommend cost-effective solutions and value engineering.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance
  • Ensure compliance with legal, environmental, and health & safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure quality standards are met.

Key Skills and Qualifications: Essential Skills:

  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and materials
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, and QS software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, or similar)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
  • Professional membership (desirable): RICS, AIQS, CIOB, etc.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience (varies with seniority)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
