Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team. Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed construction estimates and budgets using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
• Conduct thorough quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications to determine material quantities and costs.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and change orders with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable terms that align with project budgets.
• Monitor project costs throughout the construction process, implementing cost control measures to prevent overruns.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure contractual compliance and effective communication.
• Review and analyze construction contracts, ensuring all terms are understood and adhered to during project execution.
• Support project management by providing timely financial reports, forecasts, and risk assessments to facilitate informed decision-making.

Skills

• Proficiency in Bluebeam for digital document management and markup of drawings.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure advantageous pricing and contractual terms.
• Experience with HeavyBid or similar construction estimating software for accurate cost projections.
• Solid understanding of construction estimating processes, including quantity take-offs and bid preparation.
• Hands-on construction site experience to better understand on-the-ground realities impacting costs.
• Knowledge of construction management principles, including scheduling, resource allocation, and safety standards.
• Familiarity with contracts, legal considerations, and project documentation requirements.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders effectively.
