We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all cost-related aspects of construction projects, ensuring financial efficiency, contract compliance, and accurate project reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) from drawings and specifications
- Prepare tender and contract documents
- Analyze quotations and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and cash flow throughout project execution
- Prepare progress valuations, variation orders, and payment certificates
- Evaluate subcontractor claims and final accounts
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and clients regarding commercial matters
- Conduct site visits to verify work progress and measurements
- Maintain proper documentation for contracts, variations, and cost records
- Assist in procurement and material cost analysis
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and company procedures
- Prepare monthly cost reports and project financial updates
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Mandatory proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project (MS Project) for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, cost control, project planning, and contract administration within construction, infrastructure, geotechnical, or engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling, resource planning, progress tracking, cost estimation, budgeting, and cost control.
- Proven experience in preparing BOQs, tender documents, contract administration, and project cost management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software.
- Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, project schedules, and project documentation.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in Qatar or GCC countries
- Knowledge of FIDIC contracts is an advantage
- Valid QID and transferable visa preferred
