Quantity Surveyor cum Cost Controller

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor cum Cost Controller to manage project costs, subcontractor coordination, and commercial activities for construction projects. The role involves cost monitoring, contract administration, commercial management, and ensuring accurate financial control to support project profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, and project budgets.
• Monitor project costs, forecasts, and cash flow.
• Prepare client payment applications and subcontractor valuations.
• Manage variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Maintain and update subcontractor data, records, agreements, and payment status.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, commitments, and commercial documentation.
• Support commercial management activities and contract administration.
• Prepare weekly/monthly cost reports and financial forecasts.
• Review quotations, purchase orders, and subcontractor costs.
• Coordinate with project, procurement, finance, and site teams.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and commercial risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in a contracting company, preferably in Qatar/GCC.
• Strong knowledge of quantity surveying, cost control, subcontract management, and commercial management.
• Good understanding of construction contracts and variations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel; ERP experience is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Pay: From QAR8,000.00 per month
