Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in civil infrastructure and underground utility projects, including potable water pipelines, sewer networks, stormwater drainage, irrigation systems, seawater pipelines, RTOM duct networks, utility diversions, and associated civil works. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost planning, quantity measurement, contract administration, valuation, and commercial management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs from IFC drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Measure and certify work completed for monthly progress payments and interim valuations.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for infrastructure and utility projects.
• Monitor project costs and maintain cost control throughout the project duration.
• Prepare and evaluate subcontractor payment certificates and final accounts.
• Review contract documents, identify commercial risks, and recommend mitigation measures.
• Prepare variation orders (VOs), claims, extension of time (EOT) cost impacts, and supporting documentation.
• Analyze project drawings to identify quantity changes and scope variations.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, planners, procurement, and site teams regarding commercial matters.
• Prepare cost estimates for additional works, change orders, and tender submissions.
• Monitor material consumption and reconcile quantities with procurement records.
• Assist in procurement by preparing tender documents, bid comparisons, and commercial evaluations.
• Maintain records of project quantities, cost reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Verify subcontractor measurements and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Prepare project cash flow forecasts and cost-to-complete reports.
• Support project close-out by preparing final accounts and commercial documentation.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, project specifications, and company procedures.

Project Experience Required

Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following:

• Potable Water Transmission & Distribution Networks
• Sewer and Foul Water Pipelines
• Stormwater Drainage Networks
• Irrigation Networks
• RTOM Utility Duct Banks
• Seawater Pipelines
• HDPE, DI, GRE, GRP, uPVC and Steel Pipeline Works
• Utility Diversions
• Manholes, Valve Chambers and Pump Stations
• Road Crossings, HDD and Open Cut Excavation
• Utility Coordination with Government Authorities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in underground utilities and pipeline works.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and contract administration.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and quantity surveying software (CostX, CCS Candy, PlanSwift, or similar).
• Excellent understanding of BOQ preparation, measurement standards, and cost estimation.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working on Abu Dhabi or UAE infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with ADDC, AADC, ADM, DMT, ADQCC, ADSSC, Etisalat/e&, RTOM, TAQA Water Solutions, and other utility authority standards.
• Experience handling claims, variations, and final account settlements.

Pay: AED6,500.00 - AED7,500.00 per month
