Quantity Surveyor (Building)

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor for high-rise building construction projects. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in quantity estimation, billing, BOQ preparation, and rate analysis. Candidates having experience with MRS (Market Rate System) and previous working experience with the C&W Department will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates for high-rise building projects.
• Verify contractor bills, subcontractor bills, and IPCs.
• Prepare and analyze rates according to MRS and project requirements.
• Monitor project quantities, variations, and cost control measures.
• Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, and planning teams regarding executed quantities.
• Prepare material reconciliation and quantity tracking reports.
• Evaluate extra items, variation orders, and claims.
• Review drawings and specifications for quantity and cost-related matters.
• Assist in tendering, procurement, and contract documentation.
• Maintain records of work progress, measurements, and billing documentation.
• Ensure compliance with contractual and departmental procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or relevant field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in high-rise building projects.
• Strong knowledge and working experience of MRS (Market Rate System).
• Experience with the C&W Department will be preferred.
• Expertise in quantity estimation, rate analysis, and billing procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and BOQs.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software.
• Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of contractual terms, measurement standards, and construction practices.
