Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in UK construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, BOQ preparation, tender analysis, and cost control throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates.
• Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
• Prepare tender documentation and evaluate contractor bids.
• Monitor project costs, variations, and budget performance.
• Prepare valuations, payment certificates, and cost reports.
• Assist in contract administration and procurement processes.
• Provide commercial advice and cost-saving recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience on UK construction projects.
• Strong understanding of UK construction contracts and procurement methods.
• Experience preparing BOQs and cost plans.
• Proficiency in Excel, CostX, Bluebeam, or similar QS software.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
