Quantity Surveyor Engineer

CBS is searching for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor Engineer to join our dedicated team. Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage bills of quantities, cost estimates, and tender documentation for various construction projects
• Analyze project plans and specifications to identify all elements of work and associated costs
• Monitor project costs and implement effective cost control measures to ensure financial targets are met
• Collaborate with project managers and contractors to provide cost advice and financial assessments throughout the project lifecycle
• Conduct measurements and valuations for work completed and prepare payment applications for contractors
• Assist in the negotiation and administration of contracts, ensuring compliance with legal standards
• Stay informed about industry trends, market rates, and changes affecting the construction sector

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a similar field
• A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management principles
• Proficient in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CIQS) is preferred
