Quantity Surveyor (MEP)

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor – MEP

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) background to manage cost estimation, budgeting, and contract administration for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in villa projects and data centers, excellent knowledge of MEP systems, and familiarity with UAE market standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP works including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications for accurate pricing.
• Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and assist in tender submissions.
• Monitor project costs and prepare cost control reports to ensure budget compliance.
• Evaluate and certify subcontractor invoices and progress claims.
• Conduct value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
• Manage contract administration, including variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams for cost-related decisions.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.
• Prepare periodic financial reports for management and clients.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor with MEP focus.
• Proven experience in villa projects and data center MEP works.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, materials, and market rates.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and cost estimation software.
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• UAE experience preferred; valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
