R&D Officer

Position Overview

We are hiring an R&D Officer for the furnishing and furniture industry. The ideal candidate will research new trends, coordinate with international suppliers, assist in product development, and support import-related documentation.

Responsibilities

• Research new furniture designs, materials, fabrics, blinds, and market trends.
• Identify global trends and suggest new product ideas.
• Conduct competitor analysis for quality, pricing, and styles.
• Source international suppliers for fabrics, hardware, accessories, and décor items.
• Handle email correspondence with overseas vendors.
• Request quotations, compare specifications, and follow up for samples.
• Support import process (HS codes, packing lists, PI, shipment documentation).
• Assist design and production teams with new product development.
• Evaluate material quality and feasibility for production.
• Prepare reports, comparisons, and presentations for management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (4 years) in a related field
• (e.g., Business, Textile, Design, Product Development, Data Analytics).
• 2–3 years of experience in R&D, sourcing, imports, or product development.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Excellent written English for email correspondence.

Understanding of import documentation is preferred.
