R&D Scientist

Who are we looking for?

A driven, self-motivated engineer who will work with other members of the MAES team to develop new products for different product lines. Also, a keen learner with problem solving capability. The function of this position will be to prepare and test the samples as per the standard test methods. This work will include proper documentation and analysis of the data. Also, work with internal & global team members to develop methods, perform testing, and assure the quality of results.

What will you be doing?

• Work with internal & global team members to develop methods, collect results, and assure the quality of results.
• Operating, maintaining and calibrating of all the laboratory equipment.
• Performing tests to produce reliable and precise data.
• Accurately recording, documenting, reviewing, interpreting, and communicating experiments and resultant data.
• Recording results of every test and compile the test data.
• Staying updated with technical developments.
• Following strict safety procedures and safety checks.

Who are You?

• B.Tech. in Metallurgical Engg. or Materials Engg. or Mechanical Engg. with 2 to 3 years’ relevant experience.
• Must be safety focused, a self-starter, highly organized, and able to work well within all levels of a fast-paced organization.
• Must be able to communicate results and lab issues in a timely manner with clarity and precision, both verbally and in writing.

What competencies will you need?

• Preferred: Experience in alloy casting, mechanical testing of materials, metallographic sample preparation.
• Soft skills – self-motivated, team player, analytical thinking, problem solving, eager to learn new skills, effective communication skills, resilience, result-driven, excellent interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work under strict timelines.
