Job Description – Real Estate Accountant

  • Cross-check transaction sheets to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Follow up with developers and agents regarding invoice eligibility and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure daily reconciliation of bank and cash balances.
  • Maintain full responsibility for company cash inflows and outflows.
  • Organize and maintain proper filing of all invoices and expense records.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records for the WPS (Wages Protection System) account.
  • Maintain proper bookkeeping and accurate recording of all financial transactions.
  • Analyze property and asset management reports to ensure accuracy and assess financial performance.
  • Prepare financial statements, including Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss accounts.
  • Monitor and control the company’s financial position and cash flow.
  • Prepare quarterly financial reports and ensure timely filing and remittance of taxes and other statutory obligations, including VAT, FTA, and Corporate Tax.
  • Review commission sheets and ensure final calculations are accurate before submitting for approval and signature by partners and agents.
  • Prepare, validate, and submit monthly and quarterly UAE VAT returns.
  • Prepare monthly marketing cost reports.
  • Prepare and issue tax invoices in compliance with UAE regulations.
  • Prepare monthly and annual accounting reports.
  • Review and cross-check Anti-Money Laundering (AML) documentation and compliance requirements.
  • Take full responsibility for Corporate Tax compliance, including provisions, process improvements, and ensuring accurate and timely filing in line with statutory and internal reporting requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3+ years’ experience in accounting, preferably in real estate or property management.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT, FTA, and Corporate Tax.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Yardi, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Zoho).
  • Proficient in MS Excel, reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple properties/projects.
