Immigration law office looking for a Receptionist in Los Angeles.
Minimum experience 3 months to 3 years. College degree preferred, but if not high school diploma is good, too.
Candidate must be bilingual in both English and Spanish.
The applicant must have the ability to communicate with clients professionally, work both independently and as part of a team and provide exceptional customer service.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to answering phone calls, processing mail, scheduling appointments, filling out USCIS and Court EOIR forms, collecting documents, filing in person documents before the court, going to the post office. Translating documents. Help out with social media websites by answering messages/calls.
Work well under deadlines, handle confidential information with professionalism, and display strong interpersonal skills. Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls. Answer basic questions from our clients. Create various forms for effective correspondence, and perform data entry and general administrative tasks, such as scanning and filing of documents. Other administrative duties as assigned by the Attorney or Paralegal. Client Intake.
Opening/Closing and updating client files. Organization of the office/ Develop and maintain a filing system. Receive payment by cash or check; create, process and issue invoices and receipts.
Greet visitors and clients as they walk into the office. Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable. Keep lobby & reception area clean & organized. Manage all office supplies. Restock breakroom daily (ex: coffee, plates, etc.)

Job type: part-time, Monday – Friday. 10am to 5pm (30-35 hours per week)
Compensation: DOE $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Duties:
- Greet and welcome clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate staff member
- Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar
- Maintain client records and update information as necessary
- Assist with filing, organizing, and maintaining office documents
- Handle billing and payments
- Provide excellent customer support and address clients inquiries or concerns
- Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, and mailing
- Act as a personal assistant to the office manager as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a receptionist in an immigration law office or law office preferred
- Familiarity with immigration or legal terminology is a plus
- Proficient in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and scanners
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
