Recruitment Specialist (HR Role)

Recruitment Specialist (HR) - Job Description

A Recruitment Specialist is responsible for hiring the right people for a company. In hospitality (like Katara), this usually means hiring hotel staff, F&B teams, and corporate employees.

Core responsibilities

Typical duties include:

1. Hiring & sourcing candidates

Post jobs on LinkedIn, job portals, company website

Search CVs and shortlist candidates

Use databases and recruitment tools

2. Screening & interviews

Conduct phone/online interviews

Schedule face-to-face interviews with managers

Evaluate candidate skills, attitude, and experience

3. Recruitment process management

Coordinate with department heads (hotel managers, HR, etc.)

Manage the full hiring cycle from job posting → offer letter

Track applicants and maintain recruitment reports

4. Offer & onboarding

Prepare job offers and contracts

Handle visa processing (important in Qatar)

Support onboarding (joining formalities, documentation)

5. Employer branding

Improve company image to attract talent

Participate in job fairs or hiring events

Skills required

Strong communication (English mandatory)

Interviewing & people assessment skills

Knowledge of labor laws (Qatar labor law is a plus)

Experience with HR software / ATS systems

Ability to handle high-volume hiring.
