Regional Head of Operations – Employer Health Centers
Location: Princeton, NJ (primary), with travel to GA & CA. (Hybrid – 2 days onsite, 3 days remote/work from home).
Schedule: Monday- Friday 8 AM – 5 PM.
Job Type: Full Time (W2).
Pay Range: $130,000–$150,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The Opportunity
This is a build-and-own operations role, not a traditional practice management position.
You will take ownership of the operating model for a growing portfolio of employer health centers serving a Fortune 500 financial institution. The clinical foundation and client relationship are in place — what's missing is a scalable, disciplined operational infrastructure.
This role exists because the organization has grown faster than its operational infrastructure — and we are now investing in building the systems needed to scale properly.
There is no existing playbook — and that's intentional. You are being brought in to design it from the ground up, implement it across sites, and evolve it as the model scales.
You will define how these clinics operate across three states, ensure consistent execution, and build the operational discipline required for a high-performance, client-facing healthcare environment.
What You Will Own:
Operating Systems & Process Design
- Build and maintain SOPs, workflows, checklists, escalation pathways, and operating standards.
-
Drive standardization across NJ, GA, and CA while adapting for regulatory and local requirements.
Execution & Implementation
- Own implementation of new services, technology changes, and operational initiatives.
-
Develop structured project plans with clear ownership, timelines, and follow-through.
Performance & KPIs
- Develop and manage KPIs across access, utilization, staffing, service quality, and patient experience.
-
Build reporting frameworks and take decisive action based on performance data.
Stakeholder & Client Leadership
- Serve as the primary operational point of contact for client stakeholders in a polished, executive-facing environment.
-
Lead coordination with clinical leadership and internal teams (HR, Legal, Finance, Procurement, IT).
Workforce & Operational Infrastructure
- Design staffing models, coverage plans, and training standards across locations.
-
Oversee supply chain, vendor management, equipment, and inventory systems.
Risk Management & Continuous Improvement
- Identify operational risks early and drive structured resolution before issues become client-facing.
-
Establish a culture of accountability, consistency, and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For:
- 7–10+years of healthcare operations experience with direct multi-site ownership.
-
Demonstrated experience building SOPs, workflows, and operational playbooks from scratch.
-
Strong background in ambulatory, employer-sponsored, occupational health, concierge, or service-oriented clinical environments.
-
Proven ability to design and implement systems, not just maintain them.
-
Experience with KPIs, dashboards, staffing models, and operational reporting.
-
Strong project management discipline (milestones, ownership, timelines, execution).
-
Executive presence and ability to operate in a high-expectation corporate environment.
-
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
-
RN, NP, or clinical background welcomed but not required.
-
Travel: 4–6 days/month.
We are specifically seeking candidates who have built and scaled operations — not those who have only maintained existing systems. Before You ApplyYou should be able to clearly answer:- How many sites have you directly overseen?
- What SOPs or operational documents have you personally created?
- What implementation have you built from scratch?
- What KPIs did you own — and what actions did you take when performance declined?
- How have you standardized operations across multiple locations with different local conditions?
Final candidates will be asked to submit a 30/60/90-day plan and a sample SOP or implementation document (confidential information may be redacted).
