Job Summary
The Regional Operations Manager – Africa will oversee operational performance across multiple African branches. Each branch operates under a local manager; however, this role is responsible for ensuring alignment with company objectives, driving accountability, and improving commercial results through data-driven decision-making.
The role requires strong analytical capability, commercial acumen, and hands-on follow-up to ensure performance targets are achieved.
Key Responsibilities1. Performance Monitoring & Analysis
- Monitor branch sales, margins, stock levels, and inventory turnover using Microsoft Power BI and internal reporting tools.
- Analyze branch-wise performance and identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable recommendations.
2. Inventory & Stock Management
- Identify slow-moving or non-performing stock and initiate corrective actions (pricing adjustments, redistribution, promotions).
- Ensure optimal stock allocation aligned with branch sales performance.
- Monitor inventory turnover ratios and reduce dead stock levels.
- Evaluate new product launches and assess sell-through performance.
3. Pricing & Commercial Strategy
- Track pricing decisions and measure impact through structured 2-week performance follow-ups.
- Recommend pricing changes based on margin analysis and market trends.
- Ensure branch-level pricing aligns with company profitability goals.
4. Accountability & Branch Alignment
- Work closely with branch managers to ensure operational discipline.
- Challenge performance gaps using data-backed insights.
- Ensure consistent reporting standards across all branches.
- Escalate critical issues to senior management with clear recommendations.
5. Reporting & Strategic Input
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance dashboards.
- Present data-driven insights to senior leadership.
- Proactively flag operational inefficiencies and suggest improvement plans.

Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 5–8+ years of experience in multi-branch retail or distribution operations.
- Proven experience in inventory control and stock optimization.
- Experience working with ERP systems and reporting tools.
- Experience managing cross-border operations (preferred).
