ZEISS Türkiye is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to represent ZEISS Medical Technology (MED) in Ankara . As a RSM, you will be responsible for overseeing ZEISS ophthalmic instruments in the assigned region.


Principal Purpose


To meet regional sales revenues, budgeted growth aspirations and align the regional sales organization with the MED Türkiye go-to-market strategy across a defined geographical area of responsibility.


To manage a team of Ophthalmology Account Managers (OAM’s) and other roles as required by the business within the assigned geographical area of responsibility, via field sales management, sales coaching and support execution of the MED Türkiye go-to-market strategy.


Principle Elements


  • Manage sales growth across the product portfolio, focusing on key customer segments.
  • Foster a collaborative, customer-centric approach to business development.
  • Develop strategic partnerships and grow share of wallet within target accounts.
  • Coordinate OAMs to use products and relationships for greater wallet share through Zeiss solutions.
  • Maintain a detailed sales region pipeline using CRM, ensuring OAMs update opportunities and account plans.
  • Facilitate OAMs in profiling, strategy implementation, and account development for sales growth.
  • Set targets per product group and support OAMs through coaching and information sharing.
  • Develop targeted account lists with OAMs, detailing plans to achieve budgeted sales growth.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Key Account Management, Digital teams, and National Sales Director on sales and marketing plans.
  • Manage local consignments and demo stock integrity.
  • Provide key forecast data, market share trends, and competitive analysis.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on local exhibitions and workshops.
  • Submit sales funnel reports to National Sales Director.
  • Conduct People Development Dialogue (PDD) and performance reviews for the regional team.
  • Monitor and provide feedback on OAM team performance against sales targets, addressing shortfalls.
  • Support tenders team in coordination and submission of regional tenders.
  • Serve as first-tier escalation for device and business-related issues.
  • Collaborate with Regional Service Manager and OAM team to grow service revenue.
  • Work with National Sales Director, Marketing, Education, Key accounts, and Digital teams on market share strategies.
  • Utilize relationships with Key Opinion Leaders on strategic projects.
  • Support new product launches within the region.
  • Maintain accountability and feedback loop with National Sales Director, Marketing, Key accounts, and Digital teams.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to OAMs for strong development and engagement.


Skills:

  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with people
  • Proven field sales management capability within the Medical device industry (Ophthalmology related as a preference).
  • Proven business acumen & success within the Medical device industry alongside in-depth knowledge of the evolving Türkiye Healthcare landscape.
  • Ability to take a wide strategic view, alongside identify changing factors that will drive short, mid and long-term decisions.
  • Expert understanding of national and local sales strategy and its tactical implementation in a field sales environment
  • Expert knowledge of account management and development principles
  • Full knowledge of the NHS and Private Healthcare sector.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to translate ideas into executable outcomes.
  • A Degree in Engineering, Social Sciences, Life Sciences
  • A passion for people development and coaching
  • Proactive and result orientated, with ability to take decisions and deliver high quality results quickly when necessary and resilience to challenge/be challenged
