Job Summary

We are hiring a high-performing and strategically driven Regional / Zonal Sales Manager to lead sales operations in the Hyderabad region. The role is responsible for achieving regional revenue and profitability targets, expanding market share, and leading a team of field sales professionals.

The ideal candidate will bring strong agrochemical market knowledge, proven leadership capabilities, and the ability to build long-term dealer and farmer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth

  • Achieve assigned regional sales and profitability targets.
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with national objectives.
  • Prepare annual sales forecasts, territory quotas, and expenditure plans.
  • Monitor performance against targets and initiate corrective actions.
  • Analyze sales data and implement system improvements.

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead and manage:
  • Senior Territory Managers
  • Territory Managers
  • Trainee Sales Officers
  • Crop Protection Officers
  • Develop and implement regional coverage plans.
  • Conduct regular field visits for coaching and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure productivity, quality standards, and customer service excellence.

Market Development & Customer Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key dealers, distributors, and large farmers.
  • Identify new market opportunities and expand customer base.
  • Provide consultative, solution-based selling.
  • Track competitor activities and market trends.
  • Recommend product line adjustments based on regional demand.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Operations & Reporting

  • Manage regional forecasting and sales tracking.
  • Provide regular performance updates to the Sales Head.
  • Share field intelligence and strategic recommendations.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Distribution, Marketing, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and other support departments.

External Coordination

  • Maintain professional relationships with customers, dealers, government officials, and relevant agricultural institutions.

Qualifications

  • M.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture (Mandatory)

Experience

  • 5–7 years of proven experience in the agrochemicals / crop protection industry.
  • Demonstrated success in regional sales management.
  • Strong track record of achieving sales and profitability targets.

Required Skills

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and deal-closing ability.
  • Deep knowledge of agrochemical market segments in Hyderabad.
  • Strong analytical and forecasting skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and SAP.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and dynamic environment.
