Regional truck load Dispatcher

Summary of Job:

This position is responsible for directing the picking up and delivering of freight in the most efficient manner possible. This includes receiving and processing orders, answering phones, providing back-up support to co-workers in the office and other various customer service tasks. Strong communication skills are essential.

Job Duties:

1. Helping book loads using the DAT board and relationships with various brokers.

2. Responsible for directing the picking up and delivery of freight by assigning loads to drivers. This includes routing drivers in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.

3. Use the logistics software to enter and process orders. This includes scanning and indexing documents to orders.

4. Approval and processing of broker settlement. (B&B)

5. Scheduling of delivery appointments, in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.

6. Maintain all data and records relative to shipping and receiving activities.

7. Strictly adhering to standard operating procedures to ensure the accuracy of all shipping and receiving documents.

8. Customer Service. Answering customer questions relating to delivery windows, rates, delays of delivery and any other problem solving issues that may arise.

9. Assisting drivers by being a representative on the customer/shipper end of the relationship; communicating delivery restrictions/issues when needed.

10. Review and approve invoices, ensuring accurate invoice amounts, accessorial, and pass throughs to driver settlement.

11. Create invoices as needed, to charge customers for pickups or other necessary extra charges.

12. Managing Invoices and relations between The Junction and CBX.

13. Other duties as assigned.

Reporting Structure:

Reports to Officer Manager. Supervises no one.

Qualifications:

· High School Graduate

· Data Entry experience

· Internet, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook experience

· General knowledge of local geography to include highway system

· The ability to work varied hours depending on company needs

· Previous Experience as a Truck Driver preferred

· Past forklift driving experience preferred

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility.

Work Environment:

• Work performed in a combination of office and warehouse environments.
• In rare cases, exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes and cold temperatures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
