Registered Dental Assistant

Overview

Michiana Dental Care is seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in dental assisting and a passion for providing exceptional patient care while supporting the clinical operations of the practice.

As a Certified Dental Assistant, you will play an essential role in maintaining efficient clinical workflow, upholding infection control standards, and ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for every patient.

Pay: $18–$22 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, organizing materials, and maintaining proper infection control protocols.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including 3D scans when applicable.
• Maintain and update patient records using electronic dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Welcome and assist patients while helping manage scheduling, insurance verification, and patient inquiries when needed.
• Monitor vital signs and assist with documentation related to patient care.
• Support the dental team with clinical and administrative duties to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care when appropriate.

Requirements

• Dental Assistant Certification required
• Radiology/X-ray certification preferred
• Knowledge of dental terminology and dental procedures
• Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment
• Team-oriented, reliable, and detail-focused

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
