Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for patient care. As a Registered Dental Assistant, you will support dentists in delivering exceptional dental treatments while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Duties
- Assist dentists during various procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) in accordance with safety protocols and HIPAA regulations.
- Manage patient records using OpenDental, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of medical documentation.
- Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency and patient comfort.
- Monitor vital signs and assist in medical imaging procedures when necessary for comprehensive patient assessments.
- Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures.
- Support the dental reception team by managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out, and handling medical records with professionalism.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure.
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy.
- Proficiency in OpenDental; familiarity with medical coding is a plus.
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures.
- Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience working with pediatric patients preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, team members, and healthcare providers.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
