Role Purpose:
The Relationship Manager in Corporate & SME is responsible for acquiring, developing, and managing a high-quality portfolio of corporate and SME clients in line with the bank’s strategic objectives. This includes delivering tailored banking solutions, increasing product penetration, and supporting the growth of loans, deposits, and fee-based income. The role contributes to digital adoption, customer retention, and service excellence while ensuring compliance and credit quality. The job holder plays a key role in executing the Corporate & SME Banking strategy by deepening client relationships, maximizing revenue potential, and enhancing the bank’s market presence.

The role focuses on leading the strategic growth and profitability of the Corporate and SME Banking division by enhancing financial performance, expanding market presence in the UAE, and building a strong relationship management culture. It also emphasizes sustainable, risk-aware portfolio growth and contributing to social responsibility through community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:

Solicit, acquire, develop, and maintain a portfolio of corporate and SME clients by regularly assessing their financial needs and market opportunities.

Achieve sales targets through proactive relationship management, product cross-selling, and placement of wholesale banking solutions.

Conduct detailed credit and financial analysis, preparing comprehensive credit proposals for new and renewed facilities.

Collaborate with Credit Analysts and Wholesale Banking Officers to underwrite and review credit proposals and ensure full documentation compliance.

Monitor account performance to maintain portfolio quality, detect early signs of credit risk, and minimize non-performing assets.

Prepare and implement business plans aligned with annual sales targets and financial objectives.

Address internal queries from Credit Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, and Admin functions for timely resolution.

Analyze KYC documentation and recommend appropriate collateral and security structures.

Coordinate with external agencies for technical and legal reports and with internal teams for loan documentation and disbursements.

Monitor post-disbursement compliance including usage of funds and adherence to terms and conditions.

Manage internal, concurrent, and statutory audit requirements and ensure resolution of audit findings.

Ensure proper filing, documentation, and records management in line with wholesale banking standards.

Prepare and submit periodic reports as required by management.

Comply with all risk management, compliance, and operational policies.

Perform any additional tasks as assigned by management.
Experience & Knowledge:

5–10 years of experience in Corporate and SME banking within the UAE

Strong background in credit analysis, underwriting, and structuring facilities

Proven portfolio management and client relationship skills

In-depth knowledge of wholesale banking products and services

Familiarity with UAE regulatory and compliance frameworks

Experience handling loan documentation, disbursements, and audits

Proficient in financial statement analysis and risk assessment

Understanding of KYC, AML, and collateral/security structuring
