What is a Relationship Manager Liability Sales Officer – Islamic Banking (MMBL)?
Relationship Manager Liability Sales Officer plays a key role in driving business growth through the sale of Shariah-compliant liability products and services. The role focuses on building and nurturing profitable, long-term relationships with individual and institutional clients, ensuring effective deposit portfolio management, and maintaining high standards of service quality in line with MMBL’s policies, regulatory requirements, and Islamic finance principles.
What Relationship Manager Liability Sales Officer – Islamic Banking (MMBL) Does?

Develop and expand a diversified liability portfolio through identification of quality customers to achieve sales targets.

Identify new business opportunities and contribute to liability sales strategy formulation to enhance market share.

Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly liability sales targets.

Retain and grow profitable client relationships through proactive engagement and follow-ups.

Assess financial and investment needs of individual and institutional clients while promoting Shariah-compliant solutions.

Educate customers about bank products and services aligned with Islamic finance principles.

Ensure effective customer and market coverage while maintaining steady business growth.

Identify potential Takaful opportunities and develop a diversified portfolio.

Act as a brand ambassador at branch level by identifying new ventures and relationship-building opportunities for business growth.

Manage deposit portfolio quality and ensure performance against defined benchmarks.

Maintain persistency on renewal portfolios of Bancassurance as per regulatory standards.

Monitor competitor activities and market trends to retain customers in line with Shariah guidelines.

Ensure strict adherence to KYC, AML, and internal compliance standards as per bank policies and regulatory guidelines.

Enforce internal controls through regular portfolio monitoring and reporting.

Meet internal service standards, ensuring zero service-related complaints.

Uphold the bank’s fair treatment of customers policy in all dealings.

Build and sustain long-lasting, trust-based customer relationships aligned with Islamic principles.

Perform any additional tasks assigned by the bank in support of business objectives
What We Are Looking For and What It Requires to Be a Relationship Manager Liability Sales Officer – Islamic Banking (MMBL)?
Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution in Management Sciences, Commerce, Accounting & Finance, Economics, or a related field.

Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience, preferably in Islamic banking.
Essential Skills:

Strong customer service orientation.

Excellent convincing, selling, and negotiation skills.

Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Fluency in the local language.

Ability to work under pressure.

Sound understanding of Islamic finance principles and Shariah compliance.
Desirable Skills:

Experience in business planning, retail banking, or customer relationship management within Islamic banking.

Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements for Islamic banks, including SBP Islamic banking regulations and Shariah Board processes.

Certification in Islamic Banking will be considered an added advantage.
