The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Microsoft 365 Engineer to join our team remotely from Pakistan. This role is crucial for the deployment, management, and continuous improvement of our cloud-based infrastructure, specifically focusing on the Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.

The successful candidate must be able to align their working day from 5 am to 2 pm Pakistan Time.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Management & Security

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain core Microsoft 365 workloads, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
• Manage user identities, security, and access control through Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), Conditional Access Policies, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
• Implement and manage endpoint security and device compliance using Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager.
• Utilize and optimize security components like Defender for Endpoint/Cloud and maintain compliance features within the Microsoft Purview suite.
• M365 Mailbox migration, Tenancy setup, Tenancy Migration and take over

Automation & Improvement

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell to streamline administrative tasks, provisioning, reporting, and maintenance across the M365 and Azure platforms.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure high availability of all cloud services.
• Manage and execute data migration projects (e.g., file shares to SharePoint/OneDrive, on-premise Exchange to Exchange Online).

Collaboration & Support

• Act as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex M365-related incidents, providing expert technical support.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including platform configurations, processes, and service maps.
• Collaborate with the Australian IT team and key business stakeholders on project requirements and solution design.
• Desktop Support for O365 and Windows 11 end user issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Expertise

• Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience as an M365 Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar role.
• Deep expertise in Azure AD, Exchange Online, and Intune/Endpoint Manager.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administrative tasks.
• Strong understanding of networking principles, DNS, and mail flow concepts.
• Experience with SharePoint Online and the Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) is highly desirable.

Time Zone & Communication

• The preferred core hours are 5:00 AM PKT to 2:00 PM PKT to maximize collaboration time.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage workload effectively, and maintain high standards in a remote environment.

Certifications (Highly Regarded)

• Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert (MS-102)
• Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
