Job Summary
We are hiring a versatile Remote Property Manager / Virtual Assistant to support day-to-day operations of our affordable housing properties while contributing to broader company needs. This full-time remote role requires direct tenant communication, strong collections follow-up, complaint resolution, maintenance coordination, and leasing support for new acquisitions.
As part of a small team, you will wear multiple hats and take on a variety of administrative and operational tasks beyond traditional property management. We are looking for a highly adaptable professional who is eager to learn new skills and grow with us.Perfect fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory, as you will communicate directly with US tenants and the team.Schedule
- Standard working hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM CST (Chicago, IL USA time), Monday through Friday
- This is a salaried position requiring flexibility; you may need to work before or after scheduled hours on weekdays, and availability on weekends is required to pick up incoming calls, communicate with tenants in real-time, and handle operational needs as they arise
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate professionally and consistently with tenants via phone, email, text, and messaging apps
- Proactively follow up on late rent payments and drive consistent collections (late payments are common each month)
- Resolve tenant complaints, including noise, smoking, neighbor disputes, and other issues
- Create, track, and coordinate maintenance tickets with vendors
- For new property acquisitions: Screen applicants, conduct interviews, perform background/credit checks, schedule and manage property showings (virtually or via local coordination)
- Prepare leases, handle renewals, move-ins, and move-outs
- Provide virtual assistant support, including administrative tasks, data entry, scheduling, research, reporting, and other ad-hoc duties
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all tenant interactions, payments, and property matters
- Collaborate with the US-based team using tools like Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, and property management software
Requirements
- Perfect English proficiency – native-level written and spoken communication required
- Strong, reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, professional home office setup for daily calls and video meetings
- Proven clerical and organizational skills with unwavering commitment to excellence
- Strong operator who leads by example, builds trust, and takes full ownership of outcomes
- Calm, flexible, and responsive under pressure; comfortable stepping in wherever needed
- Team-oriented with a positive, solution-focused mindset

- Highly dependable with a strong work ethic and proactive approach
- Experience in property management, leasing, collections, customer service, or virtual assistance is a plus (training provided for the right candidate)
- Full availability during scheduled hours with flexibility for occasional extended hours/weekends
