Duties

• Safely operate a variety of rental vehicles including sedans, SUVs, trucks, and specialty vehicles such as limousines or heavy equipment transporters.
• Pick up and deliver rental vehicles to designated locations, including airports, hotels, or customer sites, following scheduled routes efficiently.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each trip to check for damages, cleanliness, and proper functioning of mechanical components.
• Assist customers with vehicle handovers, providing clear instructions on vehicle operation and answering any questions they may have.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements, mileage logs, fuel levels, and any incidents or damages encountered during shifts.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate vehicle movements and address any logistical issues promptly.
• Ensure all vehicles are driven in compliance with traffic laws and company safety policies while demonstrating excellent communication skills to handle customer interactions professionally.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial driving or shuttle driving; delivery driver experience is highly valued.
• Familiarity with operating various types of commercial vehicles such as box trucks, flatbeds, or tractor-trailers; knowledge of manual transmissions is a plus.
• Mechanical knowledge to identify basic vehicle issues and perform routine maintenance checks.
• Ability to load & unload vehicles using equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members clearly and professionally.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with heavy haul or heavy equipment operation is advantageous.
• Knowledge of route driving best practices including paratransit services, school bus driving, or yard jockey duties is beneficial. Pay: From $14.00 per hour
