Research Associate

Job Summary

This position will participate in ongoing survey research at SESRI

Key Responsibilities

Participating in the development, design, and implementation of national surveys in Qatar and comparative studies in the GCC region
Data analysis
Presenting results from surveys administered by SESRI at local and international conferences and to public and private sector audiences
Co-authoring papers, articles, and research reports that utilize findings from surveys undertaken by SESRI
Teaching seminars in collaboration with personnel from SESRI
Collaborating on developing new research projects and grant proposals
Participating in the intellectual life of the Institute and University
Performing all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education and Certifications

Recent doctoral degree from a relevant social science or related discipline

Languages

Excellent proficiency in English and/or Arabic (both written and verbal)

Experience

Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following priority research areas: marriage and family, gender studies, social demography, immigration, migration, and survey methodology
Experience in collecting and using survey data

Copy of highest earned credential (transcript of highest degree if graduated from an institution where course work was completed.However, if no course work was completed,an copy of certificate letter from the registrar of your highest credential granting institution regarding your highest academic degree).
