Responsibilities


The College of Communication & Information (CCI) is seeking a motivated paid intern for the Summer 2026 (and Fall 2026 if available) semester to support the CCI Research Team in data coordination, reporting, and process improvement. This role is ideal for a student who thinks analytically, picks up new tools quickly, and likes learning through exploration. The strongest candidates will be those who can absorb new concepts quickly, connect ideas across systems, and bring energy to their work. FSU CCI offers an immersive experience designed to give students hands-on skills and a meaningful portfolio. Interns can expect to work across a range of functions, including data collection and analysis, automated reporting, dashboard creation, grant processes, and basic scripting using tools like Python, Power BI, and Excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with data collection, organization, and analysis.
  • Generate reports and data visualizations for the CCI Research Team and faculty.
  • Support the development and maintenance of automated processes.
  • Document processes, workflows, and project progress clearly and consistently.
  • Assist with web-based tools and interfaces as needed.

Qualifications


High school diploma.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical mindset and comfort working with data.
  • General understanding of how software, systems, and workflows function.
  • Basic understanding of programming languages.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Suite (Power BI, Power Automate, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Excel and other data tools.
  • Interest in academic research, grants, or higher education administration.

Anticipated Salary Range


The salary for this position is $16 per hour.
