Responsible to support in operational duties for the Research division but not limited to all operational services within DDI and in generating related reports, status and progress updates to manager and senior management as needed.
Provide operational, project management, and administrative support for research activities, ensuring effective tracking, reporting, and coordination across teams and stakeholders by supporting the Principal Investigators (PIs) of research projects in a variety of ways within the established research management framework and system.
Project Management Roles & Responsibilities
- Support in progress and status report preparation related to day to day and topline activities.
- Maintain project management and research operation trackers
- Tracks research projects’ key performance indicators with PIs specifically for the project milestone progress and forecast completion date.
- Support in the development and maintenance of sustainable streamlined project management platforms, dashboards, and quality reporting systems
- Assist with operational, financial, project management, and administrative tasks in the Research sector including budgets, procurement, publications, and project status, outcomes and pipelines.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss proposals, project status and issues and assist PIs in planning and coordinating the approved research projects.
- Assist in developing and managing departmental policies and procedures.
- Liaise between Research and other sectors within DDI, as needed, on research project management requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of documents and information
- Demonstrate professionalism and diplomacy in communicating with all staff.
- Provide administrative support for committees, internal/external board reviews with manager and CSO Office
- Assist in providing reports to DDI senior management on projects status, identifying risks and potential issues, and maintaining project archives – to include operational elements.
- Liaise with ethical committees (ORA/ACEC) to ensure deliverables are met within the research project management system
- Maintains working knowledge of the research process and in the conduct of ERC approved research protocols, following GCP guidelines.
- Participate in research operations and project management quality initiatives, performance improvement activities, key performance indicators, and workplans.
- Assist in coordinating the DDI research strategy deliverables with the manager.
- Provide support to other team members and perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous work experience in research environment is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of office protocol, document management methodologies and procedures and automated on-line system applications is required.
- Must have strong and effective organizational skills and proven capability to manage multiple tasks.
- Advanced computer knowledge including Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access PowerPoint, automated document management applications and the aptitude to continually learn new software or applications is required
- Good Interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in reading and writing in English, Arabic is a plus.
