Summary of Job Duties:
Assist researchers and graduate students with research projects at the Poultry Science Research Complex. In addition, perform minor maintenance on equipment at the farm. Follow established guidelines with regard to animal care, biosecurity, and facility maintenance and housekeeping. Follow IACUC regulations for research projects. Assist with processing and data collection at the Processing Plant. Assist researchers and graduate students with necropsies, taking tissue and blood samples, dissection of carcasses, processing samples, and helping with other lab work. Mow and weed eat around farm. Assist at Vet Research Farm as necessary

Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus one year of experience in performing tests in a research laboratory.
OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE
