Resident Care Aide

Resident Aide - 2nd shift & 3rd shift

Duties:
- Provide care and assistance to residents in a nursing home or residential care facility
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document administration
- Monitor and record vital signs of residents
- Assist residents with mobility and transfers
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for residents

Qualifications:

- Must be 18 and have a high school diploma or GED
- Experience in providing care for individuals with dementia or developmental disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and protocols
- Familiarity with working in a nursing home or residential care setting
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with residents, families, and staff members
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude towards residents
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of resident information
