Job Overview

We are hiring a Project Lead to take ownership of residential jobs in the field. This role is responsible for executing work, leading projects, coordinating with on-site subcontractors, and ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

This is a leadership role, not just a labor position. You will be trusted to run projects with minimal oversight while maintaining strong communication with the owner and clients.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Execution

A) Lead small to mid-sized residential projects from start to finish
B) Perform and oversee skilled work across multiple trades (carpentry, drywall, light plumbing/electrical, etc.)
C) Ensure all work meets scope, quality standards, and client expectations

2. Jobsite Leadership

A) Direct helper(s) or small crews as needed
B) Coordinate with subcontractors and ensure smooth workflow
C) Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite

3. Communication

A) Communicate clearly with the owner and clients
B) Identify issues early and propose solutions
C) Document progress using photos and project software

4. Planning & Efficiency

A) Read scopes and understand project flow
B) Plan ahead for materials, tools, and sequencing
C) Minimize downtime, rework, and callbacks

Qualifications

1. Experience

A) 3–5+ years of residential construction or remodeling experience preferred
B) Proven ability to run jobs or lead projects independently
C) Strong multi-trade skillset (carpentry, drywall, light plumbing/electrical, painting)

2. Work Standards

A) High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
B) Clean, professional appearance and demeanor
C) Strong work ethic and reliability

3. Requirements

A) Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
B) Own basic hand tools, many power tools provided
C) Reliable truck or cargo van (fuel reimbursed)
D) Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environments
E) Fluent in English (Spanish a plus)

Communications & Technology

  • Must be reachable via phone/text throughout the day
  • Comfortable sending photo updates and using digital documentation
  • Experience with project management software a plus (but not required)
  • Required to download work software apps

Customer Interactions

  • Work will be done in occupied homes — professionalism, cleanliness, courtesy, and respect for client property is essential
  • Friendly, solution-oriented communication style with homeowners and team
  • Represent the company professionally at all times

Time Off

  • PTO (vacation): 56 hours/year (frontloaded, can begin using after 60 days) (no PTO for part time employees and first year apprentices)
  • Holidays (paid): 7 major holidays, New Year‘s day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving Day , Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day
  • Increase in PTO after 1 year of employment
  • 40 Hours paid Sick Leave
  • Flexible unpaid days off as needed if scheduling allows
  • Maximum carry over PTO cap 80 hours
