Job Title: Residential House Manager

Position Summary:

The House Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Step Above Counseling Services' residential program while maintaining a safe, structured, clean, and supportive environment for clients. The House Manager supervises residential staff, ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, coordinates household operations, and promotes a therapeutic living environment that supports client recovery and independence.

The House Manager serves as a leader within the residential program by ensuring staff accountability, monitoring client activities, addressing concerns promptly, and maintaining a high standard of care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the residential facility.
• Ensure the residence remains clean, organized, safe, and fully operational.
• Conduct daily walkthroughs of the property.
• Monitor inventory of household and program supplies.
• Coordinate maintenance requests and repairs.
• Ensure all safety equipment is functional and accessible.
• Supervise Residential Support Specialists and Direct Support Professionals.
• Assist with employee orientation and training.
• Monitor employee performance and adherence to company policies.
• Provide coaching and corrective action when necessary.
• Assist with scheduling and shift coverage.
• Ensure proper staffing ratios are maintained.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or residential services.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Valid Virginia driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass required background checks.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Completion of all required company and regulatory training.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
