Resort Front Desk Agent

Location: Southwest Michigan’s Premier Resort – St. Joseph, MI
Shifts: 6:00am-02:00pm ; 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (occasional mid-shifts)

As a Guest Service Associate, you will be the first point of contact for every guest and a key part of our team. We are looking for someone with a passion for hospitality, a positive attitude, and excellent communication skills to provide world-class service to all visitors.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all check-in and check-out duties efficiently and professionally
• Manage reservations online and by phone
• Guide guests through various payment methods and authorize credit card transactions
• Register guest profiles, ensuring all details are accurate, including contact information, arrival & departure dates, and special requests
• Welcome and greet guests, assign rooms thoughtfully, and collect feedback at checkout
• Provide detailed information about rooms, rates, and amenities
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest complaints
• Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are clean, comfortable, and fully equipped
• Liaise with maintenance to maintain facility operations at peak performance
• Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for events, weddings, and VIP guests
• Upsell additional services, facilities, and room packages when appropriate
• Maintain accurate guest records and log important details throughout their stay

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience as a Front Desk Agent, Receptionist, or in a customer service-focused role
• Familiarity with travel booking websites (e.g., Booking.com, Expedia, TripAdvisor)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Positive, upbeat attitude, responsible demeanor, and professional appearance
