Job Title: Restaurant Manager

Job Purpose

To oversee and manage all daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, staff performance, and operational efficiency in a casual dining environment. Responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, team productivity, sales growth, and overall customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth daily restaurant operations and guest experience
  • Maintain high service standards consistent with casual dining brand expectations
  • Monitor dining floor and kitchen performance, ensuring timely service
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally

Staff Management & Training

  • Supervise, schedule, and train restaurant staff (waiters, supervisors, hostesses, etc.)
  • Conduct daily briefings, assign duties and monitor performance
  • Lead, coach, and motivate team to achieve service & sales goals
  • Ensure grooming standards and staff discipline

Financial & Inventory Control

  • Manage cash handling, billing, and daily sales reporting
  • Work with accounts department for proper documentation & audit requirements
  • Monitor food, beverage, and other inventory levels
  • Control waste, minimize operating costs and increase profitability

Quality & Hygiene Compliance

  • Ensure food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards are strictly followed
  • Conduct regular inspections of restaurant, kitchen and storage areas
  • Ensure compliance with local health, safety & municipality regulations

Guest Engagement & Brand Standards

  • Build strong customer relationships & encourage repeat business
  • Implement promotions, special events, and campaigns
  • Maintain restaurant ambiance, cleanliness, and brand image

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Hospitality or relevant field preferred
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in casual dining / restaurant management
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant operations software
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle busy operations
  • Good problem-solving, time-management, and team-building abilities
  • Food safety certification is an advantage
