Job Purpose
The Retail Lead is responsible for overseeing daily store operations, ensuring excellent customer service, achieving sales targets, managing store staff, and maintaining brand standards. The role ensures smooth functioning of the newly launched sports store while driving sales growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities1. Store Operations Management
- Supervise daily store operations and ensure smooth functioning.
- Ensure store opening and closing procedures are properly followed.
- Maintain store cleanliness, visual merchandising, and product display standards.
- Monitor stock availability and coordinate replenishment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and operational procedures.
2. Sales & Customer Experience
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Deliver excellent customer service experience.
- Assist customers in product selection and sports equipment guidance.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and ensure resolution.
- Promote upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
3. Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and supervise sales staff.
- Prepare staff duty rosters and manage attendance.
- Train team members on products, selling techniques, and customer service.
- Conduct daily briefings and performance follow-ups.
4. Inventory & Stock Control
- Monitor stock levels and prevent stock shortages.
- Coordinate inventory counts and stock audits.
- Ensure proper handling of sports equipment and merchandise.
- Minimize stock loss, damage, and shrinkage.
5. Visual Merchandising
- Implement store layout and merchandising plans.
- Ensure brand presentation standards are maintained.
- Rotate displays based on promotions and seasons.
6. Reporting & Administration
- Prepare daily sales reports and store performance updates.
- Monitor KPIs such as sales conversion, footfall, and average basket value.
- Coordinate with warehouse and purchasing teams.
- Maintain proper documentation and records.

Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or relevant field (preferred).
- 3–5 years experience in retail, preferably sports or apparel industry.
- Experience in store supervision or team leadership role.
