Responsible for the daily room inventory management process to establish and implement pricing, yield, and selling strategies for the hotel, based on market factors and company guidelines. Manage all aspects of competitor intelligence; pricing; management of room inventory, and/or the yield hurdle points; distribution channels, market segment mix; acceptance/denial of major group bookings. Monitor competitor strategies and data; maintain understanding of the dynamics of the local market and demand generators and present appropriate action plans to management while you monitor and communicate fluctuations in occupancy to operational departments so they can effectively manage staffing requirements and increase efficiency. Support the onsite Reservation Teams. Maximize all revenues to and for the Hotel, including but not limited to Rooms and Banquet/Catering Revenues.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for formulating, developing and executing sales strategies in inventory control & segmentation to maximize hotel revenue & profit

2. Prepare forecast, budget & analysis of revenue, profit, and demand associated with occupancy of rooms & function space inventory

3. Monitor competitor pricing for all revenue generating departments, understands the dynamic of the local market and the demand generators, and recommends appropriate actions to the Revenue Room Taskforce in relation to the hotel’s pricing and market mix strategy.

4. Review daily rate on OTA channels as well as monthly/ quarterly KNR/ LNR account performance

5. Recommend pricing & positioning strategy by identifying potential opportunities and threats using rate shopping tool, i.e. Rubicon

6. Oversees the configuration of the hotel’s Property Management System.

7. Conduct weekly rate/sell strategy (yield) meetings with General Manager, DOSM, Revenue Manager Reservations Manager, Front Office Manager & Catering Manager

8. Facilitate the Revenue Generation Meeting and all other Revenue daily/weekly & monthly meetings in absence of Revenue Manager and generates reports and analyses needed for these meetings, displaying key facts/trends etc. on the revenue room walls /SharePoint

9. Monitor and is responsible for tracking and analyzing of booking pace, group wash, cut off enforcement for groups as well as denied and regretted business.

10. Approve and/or implement sell strategies for all group proposals above 9 rooms on any one night, and collaborates with the Director of Sales or Director of Catering on setting group and conference rates.

11. Manage use of revenue systems* on a daily basis. This includes the responsibility for any manipulation of the yield hurdle points and daily inventory balancing where appropriate.

12. Train and support hotel teams on revenue system* functionality and enhancements.

13. Ensure compliance with all SBRP rules and standard processes. Provide support to Revenue Manager to input to the annual budget process on all revenue aspects of the business

14. Provides technical support to Reservations and Front Office on up-selling and negotiating techniques.

15. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Revenue Management

16. Works with line Manager and Human Resource Manager to ensure the departmental performance of staff is productive.

17. Provide tactical information and make recommendations to Revenue Generating Teams for the strategic business plan

18. Regularly review and manage expenses against departmental budget together with Revenue Manager
