We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Ride Technician to maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair amusement rides and attractions. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical background with a focus on preventive maintenance and operational safety in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on rides and attractions in accordance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Conduct daily safety checks, start-up procedures, and inspections before operation.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues on rides and equipment.
- Respond quickly to ride breakdowns and ensure minimal downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and international safety regulations (e.g., ASTM, ISO).
- Work closely with operations and safety teams to ensure ride readiness and guest safety.
- Participate in scheduled safety drills and emergency response procedures.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools.
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures and other safety protocols strictly.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in ride maintenance or amusement equipment preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with PLC systems, motors, sensors, and safety systems is an advantage.
- Able to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in amusement parks, entertainment venues, or similar facilities.
- Knowledge of HSE standards, ride manufacturer documentation, and preventive maintenance programs.
- Certifications in ride safety, LOTO, or first aid are a plus.
