Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Experience: Provide friendly, efficient, and personalized service to guests, welcoming them warmly, assisting with menu selections, and ensuring a memorable dining experience.
- Beer and Cocktail Knowledge: Demonstrate a solid understanding of our craft beer selection, classic cocktails, and other beverages, offering recommendations and insights to guests based on their preferences.
- Food Service: Present our elevated tavern fare with flair and enthusiasm, describing dishes, ingredients, and preparation methods, and ensuring accurate and timely delivery to tables.
- Order Management: Take orders accurately, enter them into the POS system promptly, and coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth execution and timely service.
- Table Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including table setup, condiment replenishment, and clearing and resetting tables efficiently to accommodate incoming guests.
- Upselling and Promotion: Enhance the guest experience by promoting featured beers, cocktail specials, and seasonal dishes, while actively engaging with guests to drive sales and increase guest satisfaction.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with fellow servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless operations and uphold our commitment to excellence in hospitality.
- Guest Relations: Build rapport with guests, anticipate their needs, and address any concerns or inquiries with professionalism and attentiveness, striving to exceed expectations and leave a lasting impression.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in upscale fine dining. Upscale banquet, private dining is a plus
- A working knowledge of current spirits and cocktail trends, wine and beer knowledge is a must.
- Must have a more than basic understanding of upscale dining menus and food.
- Passion for craft beer and classic cocktails, with knowledge of different beer styles, brewing techniques, and cocktail recipes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests in a relaxed and approachable manner.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Dedication to providing outstanding hospitality, with a genuine desire to create memorable experiences for our guests.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Bartending experience is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the restaurant environment for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Flexibility to bend, stoop, and reach overhead.
- Adequate vision, hearing, and manual dexterity to operate restaurant equipment and communicate with staff and customers.
