Road Supervisor

We are seeking a safety-sensitive, first-line supervisory professional to join our team as a Road Supervisor. This position is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of students and supporting the daily activities of bus operators.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure student safety and intervene to maintain order on buses or at stops
• Respond to accidents, incidents, and driver requests for assistance
• Investigate and document accidents, complaints, and safety concerns
• Monitor bus operators for adherence to routes, schedules, and policies
• Perform related work as required or as delegated by supervisor.

Required Skills & Abilities

• Strong knowledge of school transportation safety and New York State regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with drivers/monitors, dispatchers, parents, and schools
• Ability to make quick, sound decisions under pressure and in emergency situations
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
• Proficiency with radios, GPS, routing software, and basic computer programs (Word, Excel)
• Ability to maintain detailed records and write clear incident and activity reports
• Commitment to professionalism, punctuality, and confidentiality

Required Qualifications

• Valid New York State Security Guard License (Required)
• Valid CDL or willingness to obtain one
• At least 2 years of Military or law enforcement experience
• Minimum 2 years of school bus driving or related transportation experience
• Clean driving record and ability to pass all required background checks, drug/alcohol screenings, and DOT medical requirements
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, split shifts, and in all weather conditions

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
